Havering Town Hall, which hosts our main offices, is in the centre of Romford – our largest town and home to a vibrant street market dating back to 1247. Our offices are a 5 minute walk from the main shopping centres which host a range of popular shops, restaurants and gyms.

The Planning Service is at the heart of the changes and challenges to achieve sustainable growth for the benefit of the Borough. We are looking for ambitious planners who wish to be part of this team.

Planning Officer
(Career Grade)

£29,436 – £53,172

As a Career Grade Planning Officer, you will manage a varied caseload, provide professional planning advice and contribute to the regeneration of the borough in line with the Havering Local Plan.

Enforcement Officer

Manage a diverse caseload of planning enforcement investigations, helping to protect the character and quality of the borough while supporting sustainable growth and regeneration.

Deputy Team Leader
(Planning Applications)

£54,267- £58,461

An exciting opportunity to influence development across the borough, work on challenging and high-profile applications, and help deliver growth and regeneration in line with the Havering Local Plan. You will support the management and operational delivery of a busy Planning Applications Team responsible for determining over 2,700 planning applications annually.

Deputy Team Leader
(Strategic Applications)

£54,267 – £58,461

Play a pivotal role in delivering growth, regeneration and placemaking across the borough. This is an exciting opportunity to work on major and strategic developments, influence the future of Havering, and help lead a talented planning team. you will support the Strategic Applications Team Leader in managing a busy and high-performing Development Management team.
